Ultra‑Low‑Temperature(ULT) Tuna Longliner
CB specializes in the R&D and engineering delivery of dedicated refrigeration systems for ocean-going ULT tuna longliners, providing bespoke core temperature control solutions.
We have carried out deep research on refrigeration technologies for tuna vessels and broken through the limitations of conventional piston compressor units. A series of benchmark ocean-going ULT tuna longliner projects including 41.9m and 47m vessels have been successfully implemented. We serve domestic and abroad leading clients and possess extensive large-scale onboard application experience on ocean-going fishing vessels for sashimi-grade tuna.
Refrigeration Solution
The global ocean-going tuna fishing industry is generally confronted with five core challenges: rapid freshness deterioration of catch, high storage loss rates, substantial vessel fuel consumption, labor-intensive manual equipment maintenance, and insufficient centralized quick-freezing capacity.
Addressing these prevalent operational pain points across the industry, CB develops temperature control solution centered on the core application scenario: -55°C ULT quick freezing for sashimi-grade tuna.
With self-developed core refrigeration equipment, independent turnkey delivery capability, and long-term operational data from dozens of ocean-going vessels, we empower fishing vessels to achieve sustained revenue growth in four key aspects: securing premium pricing for high-quality tuna, strictly controlling catch losses throughout the whole process, continuously optimizing ocean-going fuel operating costs, and comprehensively improving the integrated efficiency of fishing and quick-freezing operations..
Self-Developed ULT Equipment, Adapted to Extreme Ocean Working Conditions
Marine environments feature: high salinity, high humidity, constant vessel vibration and 24-hour continuous operation. Units in traditional refrigeration system are prone to corrosion and vibration failures; shutdowns directly result in massive deterioration and loss of catches, accompanied by high maintenance and replacement costs and high operation requirements to crews.
CB independently develops complete refrigeration equipment, adapting to harsh ocean environments, reducing shutdown-related catch loss and later operation & maintenance costs from the source.
Two-stage ULT screw compressor
Specially designed for -50℃ to -55℃condition, with reinforced structure and corrosion resistance, enabling stable continuous operation and reducing losses caused by unexpected offshore shutdowns;
Factory-build control valve station
Integrates automatic temperature control, unit start-stop and fault protection, simplifying crew operation and ensure stable operation of ULT system;
Aluminum alloy shelf quick-freezer
Accelerates freezing via dual heat transfer modes - contact heat exchange and cold air blasting, thoroughly freezing fish core rapidly, minimizing freshness loss of catches waiting for freezing on deck and boosting quick-freezing capacity;
Anti-corrosion ULT heat exchange coils
combined aluminum alloy finned tubes and galvanized seamless evaporating coils sustain long-term heat exchange efficiency without depression, preventing tuna quality damage caused by cabin temperature fluctuation.
Fully Automated Operation and Maintenance Design, Reducing Labor Work
Ocean-going vessels have limited crew. Traditional refrigeration equipment requires real-time manual temperature adjustment, unit start-stop and fault troubleshooting, resulting in cumbersome operations. When large batch of catches are landed intensively, insufficient quick-freezing efficiency leads to piled catches on deck with rapid freshness loss, restricting single batch fishing capacity.
CB adopts automated integrated equipment to realize automatic temperature adjustment, intelligent unit start-stop and automatic fault early warning, drastically cutting on-duty personal and operation errors. Aluminum alloy shelf quick-freezer accelerate frozen product turnover, shorten waiting time for catches on deck and raise daily quick-freezing capacity.
The equipment adopts corrosion-resistant and easy-to-maintain design to reduce daily offshore maintenance workload, allowing crews to focus on core fishing operations and unlock the maximum fishing capacity of vessels.
