Recently, General Technical Requirements for Plastic Belt Conveyors for Fishing Vessels, jointly compiled by the Fishery Machinery and Instrument Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and Guangzhou Chonson Beyond Technology Group Co., Ltd., has been officially approved and released, and has been officially implemented since March 1, 2023. This initiative provides strong guidance and standardized specifications for the development of complete marine fishery equipment in China, driving the high-quality development of the fishery industry.

In recent years, China’s domestic fishery equipment industry has basically achieved scaled production, unified equipment structure and standardized production line configuration. However, there has long been a lack of unified specifications for complete equipment supply, design criteria and product inspection procedures, leaving an urgent gap for industry-wide standardization. The newly issued industrial standard, coded T/NESIF 0015-2022, was initiated, filed and organized for formulation by Tech-Innovation Group of Fishery Equipment. CB is the only enterprise that participated in the drafting of this standard, filling the long-standing industry blank in this technical field.

Prior to the official issuance of the standard, the Fishery Machinery and Instrument Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences conducted in-depth discussions and data verification with CB. The two parties fully validated the production process parameters applicable to the new standard for plastic belt conveyors for fishing vessels, providing solid and detailed technical data support for the official release and implementation of the specification.

The implementation of this standard will standardize and guide the development of the fishery equipment industry, effectively improve product quality, and promote high-quality industrial upgrading. It will comprehensively enhance China’s fishery industry in terms of technical level, equipment performance, resource and energy utilization efficiency, energy conservation and emission reduction capability, automation level and economic and technical index helping the domestic fishery equipment sector reach world-leading standards.
