Thermal Interceptor

CB Thermal Interceptor is an energy-saving cold-retention device designed to help customers cut energy consumption losses during operation. It is based on deep insights into the cold-chain warehousing industry energy management.

Thermal Interceptor is composed of two parts, mounted on either side of the cold‑storage doorway. It organizes the horizontal airflow by left and right sections to build a circulating air curtain, which blocks air exchange between the interior of cold storage and the outside, thus achieving energy‑saving performance.

Conventional wall‑mounted air curtains deliver top-down airflow to form air curtain to isolate heat. However, airflow velocity drops sharply at the middle‑lower zone, failing to maintain an effective air curtain. Large volumes of hot air penetrate cold storage through the middle and lower doorway sections, causing interior temperature rise and frost accumulation.
Thermal Interceptor optimizes air flow pattern with high‑volume main air outlets positioned at the top and bottom of the unit. The circulating horizontal‑flow air curtain delivers full suppression of doorway air exchange. It effectively prevents cold air leakage and hot air intrusion, delivering far superior airflow-isolation performance compared with traditional air‑curtain units.

Product Advantages

Professional CFD provides visual demonstration of airflow-isolation performance. Comparative tests were conducted for Thermal Interceptor and conventional air curtains under both power‑off and operating conditions, temperature recording in the period  20 seconds after doorway is opened.
Simulation results show that conventional air curtains offer weak resistance against external hot air and deliver poor temperature‑control performance. By contrast, the Thermal Interceptor achieves restriction of hot and cold air movement with remarkable isolation effect, and reliably maintains a constant‑temperature environment inside the cold storage.
